Today, the defence attaches of NATO member countries accredited to Georgia have visited the State Military Scientific-Technical Centre “Delta”. Among the visitors were also the head of the NATO Liaison Office William Lahue, the representatives of the office and the NATO-Georgia Professional Development Program.

Director of LEPL “Delta” Ucha Dzodzuashvili hosted the foreign guests. He introduced the NATO partners to a presentation about the Scientific-Technical Centre and briefed them on the activities of the enterprise. Military and scientific support and sharing of experience on these directions were also discussed at the meeting.

“The goal of today’s visit was to achieve standardization and synchronization of Georgian armaments according to NATO requirements, which, in logistical terms, will ease the Georgian army’s engagement in the NATO missions with their own equipment. I should mention that these people did not expect technical improvement of the level of our technologies. They stand ready to provide assistance to us as well as to share our experience”, said the director of “Delta” Ucha Dzodzuashvili.

Following the presentation on “DELTA” activities, the foreign guests visited one of the enterprises of “DELTA”. The representatives of NATO member countries got familiar with the Georgian military industry….

“”Delta” has invited the NATO Liaison Office and the Nato defence attaches to provide information about “Delta” operations. This is for us very interesting. We might even say a historical opportunity because this is the first time that “Delta” has had an open briefing for NATO allies. It is really a tremendous sign of transparency of this government and the willingness to cooperate in a very open way with the members of the Alliance. So it is an extremely important meeting and after the briefing we are going to be able to see one of the production lines in one of the factories and this again will be the first time that allied defence attaches and NATO allies have been able to do this,” declared head of the NATO Liaison Office William Lahue.

The enterprise works on production of around 15 series of weaponry and military equipment. “Delta” produces the tracked infantry fighting vehicle “Lazika”. Other Georgian armaments, a multiple rocket launcher system, the armored infantry vehicle “Didgori” and an unmanned aerial system are also products of “Delta”. Before launching production of weaponry and military technique, scientific researches and processing of models are conducted by the enterprise. “Delta” incorporates six scientific-research institutes, which carry out civil-military research activities.

The 12th Battalion of I Infantry Brigade of the GAF is deployed in Afghanistan within the ISAF mission. Georgian military servicemen conduct daily activities in Helmand province.

The Georgian peacekeepers cleaned several buildings which stirred suspicions during usual patrolling in the Shaban village…

When returning to the base, the Georgian soldiers were opened a fire from little caliber weapon from one of the caves around the nearby area. After finding out the presumable direction of shooting, according to the rules of engagement, the Georgian military responded with targeting fire too. Following several minute-long firing, the insurgents left fighting positions and fled from the territory.

These sick warmongers and profiteers through their weapons are a stain on decent human civilisation. The American hegemony must be stopped and the pillaging and murderous NATO war machine must be abolished..
