NATO Secretary General statement on Ukraine

I am closely monitoring the important developments in Ukraine. The people of Ukraine must determine their own future in freedom and democracy. I continue to call for calm and restraint, so that all sides can focus on pursuing the path of democracy, stability and prosperity through peaceful dialogue and early elections.

I commend the statement of the Ukrainian army that it will in no way intervene in the political crisis. It is important that this continues to be the case.

Ukraine is a close partner to NATO and NATO is a friend of the Ukrainian people.‎ We look forward to continue cooperation with Ukraine based on the NATO-Ukraine Charter.

“The people of Ukraine must determine their own future in freedom and democracy.”
Rassmussen and NATO are beyond parody.

Sure, NATO is a good friend to the Ukraine. Just like some of the red diamond rattlers in this area. Just don’t get near them. And if the Fascists really take over, all bets are off. How stupid of the US to start this one! But the cold war warriors will not quit. There is a much deeper reasoning going on here, all the way back to John Rockefeller’s desire to control the international oil market and willing to spend his money, along with the Morgan money to over throw the Czar when Russian oil sales were surpassing Rockefeller’s in the early 1900’s ( I think it was 1903) . It is still about resources and other ages old conflicts. Too bad American media is so distrustful. Americans are in the dark.
